Cowboys WR Dez Bryant to Miss 4-to-6 Weeks

Dallas Cowboys first-round wide receiver Dez Bryant will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a high right ankle sprain, ESPN's Chris Mortensen quotes Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones as saying.

The 24th overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft was injured when he got tangled up with veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick on a pass during Friday's practice.

Bryant's timetable for recovery has him returning in time for the regular season, bu missing most of his final season at Oklahoma State after being ruled ineligible for lying to NCAA investigators, missing an entire pre-season could be a big blow to how much an impact Bryant will have during his rookie season.

That said, Michael Crabtree held out until October, and he caught 48 passes for 625 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Alex Smith at quarterback.
