Dolphins Sign G Randy Thomas

Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel reports that the Miami Dolphins have signed free agent guard Randy Thomas.

Wide receiver Ryan Grice-Mullen has been waived.

Thomas has started 143 games during an 11-year career that began as a second-round pick out of Mississippi State by the New York Jets in 1999. Thomas signed with the Washington Redskins in 2003, where he started 82 games before a triceps injury landed him on injured reserve for the second time in three seasons. (left triceps in 2007; right in 2009)

The Redskins released Thomas on March 4.

Miami is in need of veteran depth at guard after Nate Garner underwent foot surgery and will miss up to two months.
