Jaguars Sign CB Chevis Jackson

The Jacksonville Jaguars have filled their open roster spot by signing free agent cornerback Chevis Jackson, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Jackson (5-11, 193) was a third-round pick out of LSU by the Atlanta Falcons in 2008. In 31 career games, including three starts, Jackson totaled 60 tackles, 1 quarterback sack, and an interception, which he returned 95 yards for a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints during his rookie season.

Jackson had 19 tackles and an interception for the Falcons during the pre-season, but was waived as part of the team's cut down to a 53-man roster.
