Jets Reach Extension With D'Brickashaw Ferguson

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports the New York Jets have reached agreement on a contract extension with left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

Terms of the extension are not yet known.

Ferguson is one of the four core members of the Jets--Ferguson, Darrelle Revis, David Harris, and Nick Mangold--seeking contract extensions this off-season.

The 4th overall pick out of Virginia in the 2006 NFL Draft, the 6-6, 310-pound Ferguson has started all 64 of his Jets' regular season games the last past four seasons. Ferguson earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl after the 2009 season.

Ferguson to earn $3.122 million dollars in base salary in 2010, the final season of a five-year, $37.5 million dollar rookie contract.
