Judge Sides With NFL in StarCaps Case

Hennepin County judge Gary Larson has sided with the National Football League, ruling that Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams must serve their four-game suspensions.

The Williamses tested positive for Bumetanide, an unlisted ingredient in StarCaps, a supplement the players were taking to aide in their attempts to shed weight. Bumetanide is considered a "masking agent".

This afternoon, the players will ask Judge Larson to keep a restraining order in place that would allow them to continue playing while they appeal the ruling to the state Court of Appeals.
