Ken Dorsey Heads to Canada

Former NFL quarterback Ken Dorsey has signed with the Toronto Argonauts, Daniel Girard of thestar.com reports.

A seventh-round pick (241st overall) out of the University of Miami by the San Francisco 49ers in 2003, Dorsey started 10 of 12 games during his three seasons with the 49ers, completing 54.1% of his pass attempts for 1,712 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Dorsey was traded to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Trent Dilfer in 2006, completing 46.7% of 93 pass attempts for 370 yards and 7 interceptions in six games, including three starts (and losses), over three seasons before he was cut last February.

The 29-year old enters a competition that includes several former NFL quarterbacks, including Gibran Hamdan (Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills), Dalton Bell (Seahawks), Cleo Lemon (San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars), as well as rookie Danny Brannagan.

"He just brings a lot to the table that we’re going to take a look at,” Argos head coach Jim Barker said of Dorsey on Wednesday.

"We’re excited about those guys coming and competing and it’ll be something that will be fun to watch."?
