Lions-Redskins Game Blacked Out

This Sunday's Detroit Lions-Washington Redskins game at Ford Field will not be shown locally, the Lions announced on Thursday.

About 8,500 tickets remain available, or 13% of Ford Field's 65,000-seat capacity.

Detroit avoided black outs of their first two homes, a 35-32 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles (Week 2) and a 44-6 win over the St. Louis Rams in Week 5.

Half of the Lions' eight homes games last season were blacked out.
