McDaniels Could Be Headed to St. Louis

Now that the Cleveland Browns have tabbed Pat Shurmur to fill their head coaching vacancy, the door is open for Josh McDaniels to replace Shurmur as offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams, writes Bill Williamson of ESPN.com.

The former Denver Broncos head coach has interviewed for the Minnesota Vikings' coordinator position, but Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier hasn't yet made a decision at that position.

A quarterbacks coach/coordinator with the New England Patriots from 2004-08, matching wits in Super Bowl XLII with Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo, who was then the defensive coordinator with the New York Giants.

As disastrous as McDaniels was a head coach with significant power over personnel in Denver, he is a highly-regarded coordinator/play-caller who could help take 2010 first overall pick Sam Bradford to the next level as an NFL quarterback.
