New Meadowlands Stadium Strikes Again

The Packers play the Jets on Oct. 31 in the new stadium that's causing players to complain about the FieldTurf surface.

In the New York Giants first mini-camp practice at the new $1.7 billion dollar Meadowlands Stadium they'll share with the New York Jets, backup wide receiver and return specialist Domenik Hixon suffered a torn ACL and will miss the entire 2010 season.

Several players complained about the FieldTurf surface, with safety Antrel Rolle among the most vocal.

"I don't know what it was," Rolle said last month. "My feet were burning at the bottom on the turf. I was slipping on each and every play. It just didn't feel good to me at all. I can't lie to you about that."

The stadium struck again over the weekend, as singer Jon Bon Jovi suffered a torn calf muscle during the New Jersey band's performance on Friday night.

"I'm old, what can I tell you?", the 48-year old said afterward.
