Packers Shuffle Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers have shuffled their practice squad, releasing running back James Johnson and signing defensive lineman Jay Ross.

Ross (6-3, 314) is an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina who had a tackle and three passes defensed for the New Orleans Saints during the pre-season.

A three-year starter for the Pirates, Ross totaled 140 tackles, including 18.5 for a loss and 8.5 quarterback sacks, and an interception. Ross picked up honorable mention All-Conference USA honors after each of the last three seasons.
