Rams Sign LS Clint Mower to "Reserve/Futures" Deal

According to a league source, the St. Louis Rams have signed first-year long-snapper Clint Mower to a "Reserve/Futures" deal.

An undrafted free agent from the University of Utah, Mower (6-2, 215) originally signed with the Rams last May, but was released the following month and spent the 2010 regular season as a street free agent.

Veteran Chris Massey (6-0, 237) has handled the snapping duties for the Rams since being chosen in the seventh-round (243rd overall) out of West Virginia in 2002. Massey missed nine games with a knee injury in 2009, but signed a four-year, $4.4 million contract with the Rams last March and stayed healthy for all 16 games in 2010.

Massey is due to receive a $500,000 roster bonus this off-season.
