Rochester (Minn.) Community and Technical College linebacker David Olson is drawing interest from NFL teams, Guy Limbeck of the Rochester Post-Bulletin reports.
The 25-year old Sioux Falls, SD native is working construction, but participated in a mid-June Combine in Indianapolis and hopes to score an invite to an NFL training camp.
"Things went pretty good," Olson said of his Combine performance. "I have no doubt I was the best linebacker out there in terms of 40 (yard dash) and the (positional) drills."
Listed a 6-3 and 240-pounds, this YouTube clip of his highlights during his Yellojacket career claims that Olson runs a 4.5-40 with a 37" vertical leap, 27 reps on the bench press.
Olsen says he's contacted all 32 NFL teams, and the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys have expressed the most interest.
