Titans Sign Two to "Reserve/Future" Contracts

The Tennessee Titans have signed wide receiver Yamon Figurs and fullback Joe Tronzo to "Reserve/Future" contracts for 2011, a league source said.

Figurs was a third-round pick (74th overall) out of Kansas State by the Baltimore Ravens in 2007, and has also played for the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders, and had a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns in 2010.

Figurs only has five receptions in his career, but they covered 103 yards and one went for a 43-yard touchdown in 2008. The 5-11, 185-pound Figurs has also averaged 8.1 yards on 42 punt returns and 23.0 yards on 85 kick returns, bringing one of each back for touchdowns.

Tronzo (5-11, 242) signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Louisville in 2010. Tronzo had two carries for 3 yards, caught 2 passes for 20 yards, and recorded one tackle on special teams in the pre-season, but was waived in September.

Tronzo spent much of the regular season on the Bengals' practice squad.

Tennessee now has 12 players signed to future contracts: QB Brett Ratliff, RB Herb Donaldson, FB Joe Tronzo, WR/KR Yamon Figures, TE Riar Geer, G Ryan Durand, C Jeff Hansen, DE Pannel Egboh, LB Kevin Malast, CB Chris Hawkins, S Myron Rolle, LS Jacob Ingram
