Vikings Pluck Iglesias Off Bears' Practice Squad

The Minnesota Vikings have signed wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias off the Chicago Bears' practice squad, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

A third-round pick (99th overall) in 2009 out of the University of Oklahoma, Iglesias (6-1, 205) dressed for one game his rookie season and has spent the entire 2010 on the Bears' practice squad.

In eight pre-season games, Iglesias has caught 12 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings have placed safety Tyrell Johnson on injured reserve to add Iglesias.

Wide receiver Sidney Rice, who opened 2010 on the PUP list, will be a free agent after the season. The Vikings are also expected to part ways with former Bears wide receiver Bernard Berrian, who has caught just 26 balls this year and is due to make $3.9 million in base salary in 2011.
