I posted this on another thread and am just looking to hear peoples opinions. NOT looking for 100 downvotes, just an honest discussion. Here goes:
Even though it is a small sample size, I am surprised no one has thrown out the crazy possibility of resigning Willis and potentially trading Love. Frankly speaking, Willis has looked like the better QB albeit in limited games. He has been way more accurate in his passing, and his running and scrambling for extra time really adds something that Love just doesn't have. I am just throwing this out there for discussion, not to get 100 downvotes. Love has been good but not great. A would not label him a "Difference Maker."
What would we save by trading Love?
Is It even feasible with his contract?
What would we get offered back to trade him? It would seem to be alot.
How would it affect the salary cap and is it even a benefit
I would think Willis will see $20 million per year from someone after the last 2 years.

I wouldn't worry about downvotes. Let 'em happen. You're not the first one to bring this up. I've seen it here and several times on YouTube. Willis does some things better than Love. In one of the press conferences, MLF said he would have used Willis in the second half of the playoff game, but his shoulder was still injured, so even he sees it.
Over the years, we've seen back-up QB's come in and play well, but then can't seem to handle the pressure of being the full-time starting QB. I don't know if that will happen to Willis or not.
It's not a bad question at all. I was one that thought this was Love's year to really step up. I honestly still don't know what to think. But he's staying, he's the guy, he's the franchise QB.
But it sure would be interesting to see how many teams would be interested in Jordan Love and just how much.

I couldn't agree more. Love lacks "field presence"; that is, he just doesn't give the impression that he is in full control. Willis, on the other hand, exudes confidence and follows it up with excellent play. I can't remember when a failed play is on Willis, but with Love, I've seen in too many times with his lack of accuracy and seeming not to sense what has to happen.

Well...you seem to think we'd get a lot back in trade.
He's unproven, he hasn't been a winner, sans regular season and Dallas game, so what are you getting back?
A number one, and maybe a swap of 2's, or a 3rd rounder, at best?
I really like watching Willis, like you do, but in my wildest dreams, i don't see Gute sending Love away.
He'd look like a putz...IMO.
More than he is now.
He had a team, in the NFCCG and what did he do to improve the team?
He drafted a QB to sit on the bench, and he thought AJ Dillon was something special.
That was a receiver rich draft!! Maybe the best one ever.
Gute said no thanks, and he drafted for the future.
He was obsessed with Love 6 months before the draft, when he and his scout flew to watch him play LSU, and made some calls on him at that time, one from a coach who disclosed how out of sorts it was at that time of the season to get a call from a NFL GM.
Look at the video when Love got drafted.
There was no shock or excitement right away, because they knew the Packers were taking him.
He said as much in a post draft interview.
Love...ain't going nowhere.

Also, 2 points. First, even though we were ranked high in PPG. it seemed like we had great stretches where we couldn't even move the ball, yet alone score. That is one thing keeping us from making a deep run, let alone competing for a SB. Getting healthy is the biggest thing, Kraft was a tremendous loss last year, but our O-line will look vastly different next year.
2nd point, not consistently being able to stop the run and hurt us was a huge problem last year that really highlighted just how weak and below average our CBs were last year. Injuries again hurt us badly and knocked the crap out of our pass rush, which really showed how bad our CBs were. It's mind boggling that we only had 7 Ints all of last year. Our Pro Bowl safety had that many in 2024.
Fixing the offense: just getting healthy will improve it. But reloading the OL will be a major heavy lift job and will make or break the team in 2026.
Fixing the CB room will be a real challenge because of a serious shortage of cap space. The Hobbs signing was a real head scratcher considering how much time he has missed in his career, but more so in how we overpaid him. Why not just add $3 to $5 million and sign a top CB last year? Just like we fixed the Safety issue the year before. Not having a first round pick will make drafting a starting caliber CB a real challenge, but there were 5 really good CBs still available when we overdrafted Belton last year, so it's possible. We need at least 2 solid developmental CBs in this draft, we can't ignore it again. Free agent CBs will have to be cheap but it shouldn't be hard to upgrade over what we have now.
Didn't talk about special teams or replacing Quay Walker. Those are farther down the list to fix to get closer to the Super Bowl.
Hobbs and Banks were huge disappointments and really look like terrible signings for GB.

A great HC & a QB with the “IT” factor. A defensive that can get a stop when the game is on the line. Let’s hope they turn it around this year and the GM has a great draft.

Well, New England was the highest scoring team in the AFC.
The Rams and Seahawks were the two highest scoring teams in the NFC.
All of those teams scored about 100 points more than us last season. That's about 6 per game. Championship offenses can move the ball and score points, in the clutch, against quality defenses.
We're not at that level, and I don't think we'll seriously challenge for a Super Bowl until we are.

an organization fully committed to the SB!!!!
Broncos fired the OC 2 minutes after he failed to go to the SB.
we are keeping a QB bust, an HC who panics on hot moments and is average without Rodgers.
but the real problem is the organization.
the packers board members do not care about SB they Just want to build appartaments.
