Chiefs Sign OL Dan Santucci

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran center Dan Santucci, reports Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star.

Santucci (6-4, 304) played for Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis at Notre Dame, and was a seventh-round pick (230th) by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2007. Santucci appeared in two games for the Bengals during his rookie season, but has spent the last two seasons on injured reserve with ankle and foot injuries.

Santucci also had a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts after the Bengals waived him at the end of his first NFL training camp.

Undrafted rookie fullback Tervaris Johnson was waived to fit Santucci onto the 80-man roster.
