Childress to Interview For Dolphins' Job

Former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress will interview for the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator job, Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.

According to Hartman, Childress will interview in Miami on Saturday.

"I don't have any preconceived notions," Childress said of the Dolphins' job. "If there's a good opportunity there with good people, and that's the key, I'll coach again this year. If not then I'll pass and do something next year."

Childress is still being paid by the Vikings.

Dan Henning stepped down as offensive coordinator after a disappointing season. Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano has interviewed four candidates for the position, including former Cleveland Browns coordinator Brian Daboll, San Diego Chargers tight ends coach Rob Chudzinski, New York Colonials head coach Chris Palmer, and Dallas Cowboys tight ends coach John Garrett.
