Seahawks Claim Long-Snapper

During an appearance on the Brock and Salk show on 710 ESPN Seattle, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider says the team has claimed a long-snapper off waivers.

The only long-snapper on waivers right now is Clint Gresham, who was waived by the New Orleans Saints on Friday.

A 6-3, 236-pounder from TCU, Gresham made eight special teams tackles over three seasons, and was the only long-snapper to score an invite to the 2010 Scouting Combine.

Matt Overton is the only other long-snapper on the Seahawks' roster. A corresponding transaction will be required to add Gresham to the 80-man roster.
